Nashua schools to hold registration

Published: Wednesday, January 20, 2010

NASHUA – Kindergarten registration will take place at Nashua elementary schools Monday, Feb. 1, from 6-8 p.m. and from Tuesday, Feb. 2, through Friday, Feb. 12, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

Register for kindergarten if your child will be 5 by Sept. 30.

First grade registration is not required if children are presently attending kindergarten at one of the Nashua elementary schools, because children are automatically enrolled.

First grade registration for those children who are not currently in the Nashua School District kindergarten program is ongoing. Registration is ongoing throughout the remainder of the school year, any weekday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., starting Feb. 2, at Nashua elementary schools.

Register for first grade if your child will be 6 by Sept. 30.

The following documentation is required for both kindergarten and first grade: two proofs of Nashua residency (home deed or lease agreement and one or more utility bills), birth certificate with raised seal or passport, immunization record and proof of physical exam with last 12 months.

Parents registering their children who are temporarily residing with a host resident must be accompanied by the host resident in order to register. In addition, the host resident must have in hand the required proof of residency listed above.

For more information, contact Kerry Caldwell at caldwellk@nashua.edu.
