A week ago, a group of 13 from Nashua Christian Academy returned after a nine-day mission trip to Cochambamba, Bolivia, travel-weary but relieved to be back home. They were exhausted after spending most of their February vacation working with an organization called the International Orphan Union.

The Bubblegum Squad waited patiently in front of the audience until they were told that they had to work a gopher-tortoise into a scene that included a “show-off” character and tunnel-digging powers. This situation is not as crazy as it sounds for competitors in the New Hampshire Destination ImagiNation competition, where teams of students are challenged to use their creativity and teamwork to score big in unique challenges.
