How much is that warrant in the window?
Once upon a time, Milford residents could read the Town Meeting warrant just by standing outside Town Hall and looking at a few pages taped to the window.
Now, the 20-page warrant, with extra pages detailing the operating and default budgets, is too big to fit in the window.
It’s still on display, but you have to read it online, in the attached binder, in the Town Hall lobby or at Wadleigh Memorial Library, which is across the street.
Administrative Assistant Dawn Griska isn’t sure how long ago the town stopped putting the warrant articles in the window, but it hasn’t been long.
“I inherited the practice from Ruth,” she said of former administrative assistant Ruth Bolduc, the current human resources director Ruth Bolduc. “We have been using that sign and methodology for a few years now. We haven’t put up each page of the warrant in a long time.”
