Mt. Vernon murder documents to be released

MILFORD- Three months after a fatal machete attack on a Mont Vernon woman, sealed court documents in the case are to be made public in Milford District Court.The documents are expected to be released this morning.

Five young men were charged in connection with the Oct. 4 home invasion resulting in the death of 42-year-old Kimberly Cates of Mont Vernon. Her 11-year-old daughter, Jaimie Cates, was seriously injured.

In October, Milford District Judge Martha Crocker denied requests from The Telegraph, Associated Press, WMUR and other media outlets to unseal the documents earlier.
