Annual Antique Show and Sale

MILFORD –The First Congregational Church of Milford will hold its annual Antique Show and Sale 9 a.m.-4 p.m. May 22. Dealer spaces available; call Jim George, Show Committee chairman at 80-1388.

For 50 years, Milford’s First Congregational Church has held its annual Antique Show and Sale on the weekend after Labor Day. This year, however, the show will move to the spring. This move should alleviate the crowding of fall fundraisers, town activities and antique shows throughout the region.

The sale will be Saturday, May 22, and it will be just a one-day show this year. The shorter format is more in keeping with current show trends and with dealer preferences. What will not change is the emphasis on high quality antiques from the dealers and the wonderful, homemade lunch by the pond provided by the church family.

Money raised at this show helps the church’s outreach to the community and its operating expenses. This year, there few dealer spaces available. To participate, call Jim George, Show Committee chairman at 801-1338 or e-mail djjimgeorge@yahoo.com.
