Daughters of the American Revolution

Published: Saturday, January 23, 2010

NASHUA – Do you have a Revolutionary patriot in your family tree?

Membership in the Daughters of the American Revolution honors and preserves the legacy of your patriot ancestor. More than 200 years ago, American patriots fought and sacrificed for the freedoms we enjoy today.

As a member of DAR, through participation in the Society’s various programs and activities, you can continue this legacy by actively supporting historic preservation, promotion of education, and patriotic endeavors.

Headquartered in Washington D.C., the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) is a volunteer women’s service organization, www.dar.org.

Locally Matthew Thornton Chapter, Nashua meets September through December and March through June. If you are interested in joining the DAR, call Judy Eriksen at 424-8453 or visit www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~nhmtcdar.
