Parent information night for child care programs
Published: Sunday, January 17, 2010
MERRIMACK – Parents are invited to attend an information night at the Merrimack YMCA, 6 Henry Clay Drive, on Jan. 27 from 6-7 p.m. to learn about programs for the 2010-11 school year. A short presentation will begin at 6:15. Light refreshments will be served, and child care will be available for this event.
Child care programs to be highlighted are Full-day Kindergarten from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. and Extended Day, Kindergarten Extension for public-school kindergarten students, Pre-Kindergarten, Preschool and Toddlers (both 1-year-old and 2-year-old groups).
The Merrimack YMCA Early Childhood Program is a state-licensed, developmental program that supports the cognitive, social, emotional and physical growth of each child. Children are encouraged to explore their environment, make appropriate choices and solve problems on an individual as well as a group level.
The YMCA’s program is unique in that it is able to provide enrichment programs within our facilities such as swimming, creative movement, gym classes and specialty art classes. These activities enhance the curriculum and address the physical needs of each child.
Registration for 2010-11 school year begins Jan. 25 for families that are currently enrolled, Feb. 1 for other YMCA families and Feb. 8 for the general public.
