MERRIMACK – The Merrimack Parks and Recreation Department is hosting a bus trip to the Boston Flower and Garden Show at the Seaport World Trade Center in Boston on Wednesday, March 24. The bus will depart from Wasserman Park at 9 a.m. to arrive at the Seaport World Trade Center by 10 a.m.
Boston will be host to this flower show with a theme of “A Feast for the Senses.” With more than 30 full-size gardens and exhibits to view, learn about organic gardening, container planting, cooking from your garden, pruning tips, complimentary floral design and more with their many lectures and demonstrations throughout the day.
There will also be a marketplace, hands-on displays, music, judged competitions, horticultural and gardening products, garden furnishings, ornaments, art and handcrafted gifts to help you with fresh ideas for your garden this spring!
Enjoy a leisurely lunch-on-your-own at one of the many restaurants within walking distance of the Seaport World Trade Center. For information on lunch options, call Kelly at the Parks and Recreation Department.
The bus will depart from the Seaport World Trade Center at 4 p.m. to arrive back at Wasserman Park at approximately 5 p.m. The cost of $39.95 per person includes round trip motor coach transportation, ticket to Boston Garden and Flower Show and driver gratuity.
