Wilton hosting annual Holiday Stroll
Published: Thursday, December 3, 2009
WILTON – The Wilton Holiday Stroll on Wilton’s historic Main Street will begin at the library at 2 p.m. with refreshments, a sing-along, jazz for the adults and stories for the kids. Children will have the opportunity to make an ornament to hang on the town tree and a craft to take home.
At 4 p.m., begin strolling down Main Street. Santa will be escorted by the Wilton Fire Department to the Wilton Main Street Park at 5 p.m. and will lead participants with some caroling throughout the merchants establishments. The Wilton Citizen of the Year will be named at 5:45 p.m. and then lead the lighting of the tree in the park.
The winner of the snowflake hunt will be announced just before the lighting of the tree. To enter the snowflake scavenger hunt contest, visit each of the participating Wilton Main Street businesses through Saturday. Find the snowflake ornament on display and record the letter on the back. Collect all the letters, and solve the mystery message on the form. The forms can be dropped off at Putnam’s Clothing. The winner will receive $100 in Wilton Money.
