Hannah Dustin Quilt Guild to meet

HUDSON – Internationally known fabric artist Jennie Rayment will be guest speaker at the Monday, Nov. 9, meeting of the Hannah Dustin Quilt Guild.
Humorously referred to as the “Muslin Mistress,” this Brit is known for her quick, simple, innovative and original techniques with manipulated material and her hilarious lectures. Rayment teaches a wide variety of classes for all levels of sewers. Her work is exhibited at various galleries, shows and exhibitions around the world. She has written six books on fabric manipulation techniques.
Non-members are welcome to attend the meeting for a $10 fee. The meeting starts at 9 a.m. at the Hudson Community Center on Lions Avenue.
There will also be a special workshop, “Twitch, Twiddle and Tweak- Manipulated Magic,” following the meeting for those who are pre-registered. Cost of the workshop is $75, and there is a homework assignment which must be completed before the class. To register for the workshop, call Shannon at 883-3838.
